Overall Structure
The overall ICS structure is as follows:
The members include the Prime Minister and the ministers for Forestry and Wildlife, Environment and Mineral Resources, Water and Irrigation, Lands, Agriculture, Provincial Administration and Internal Security and Special Programmes.
The Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee has the mandate to:
a) To review the progress made by the Interim Coordinating Secretariat;
b) To provide guidance to the Interim Coordinating Secretariat, in particular on policy matter; and,
c) To help secure the full support of the Government, in particular in terms of human and financial resources.
A number of Committees have been established to advice the ICS on specific issues. They include:
a) Committee on Communication and Outreach;
b) Committee on Restoration and Rehabilitation;
c) Committee of Legal Experts;
d) Committee on Ogiek Matters.
