About the Interim Coordinating Secretariat
Objectives and Membership of ICSThe Interim Coordinating Secretariat (ICS) is established in the Office of the Prime Minister. It was launched by Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga on 4 September 2009. The ICS was established in line with the Mau Task Force report that recommended for ICS to be: a) Interim. It is not to be a permanent institution. The lifespan of ICS is two years. b) Coordinating. The main objective is to coordinate the implementation of the Mau Task Force recommendations. The implementation is to be carried out by the relevant line Ministries. c) Secretariat. The ICS is not a Committee or a Task Force that meets on regular basis it is an administrative unit within the Office of the Prime Minister comprising staff members that work for ICS on a full time basis.
